About the journal
Knowledge, held with curiosity.
Moss & Orbit explores natural objects and the ways people describe, measure and interpret their world.
What you will find here
Short studies of minerals, celestial instruments and symbolic traditions. Each piece begins with something specific: a surface, an object, a diagram or a question.
How we work
Knowledge articles link to their sources. Editorial perspectives are labelled. Generated illustrations are identified, and are not presented as specimen photographs or evidence.
Reading and membership
The opening journal is free to read. Selected longer dossiers are available through the shared membership. Membership uses the existing Odd Index PayPal subscription. Member dossiers are read in the shared Odd Index reading room; free articles remain here. See the membership page for current terms.
Privacy
